Dry Skin

Dry skin results when lipids — sebum — are depleted, which facilitates water evaporation. Dry skin needs to be nourished before being moisturized, and is not to be mistaken for dehydrated skin.

Skin dryness often appears on your face, legs, and hands:

  • it feels rough;
  • it feels tight, especially after showering;
  • it scales, meaning it peels off very easily;
  • it is generally sensitive to climatic changes (heat, cold, wind, etc.).

As it ages, dry skin often develops fine, but numerous wrinkles.
